iPhone Gaming

Oh yes, I definitely like iPhone gaming!

At first I thought the platform would be too small visually and somewhat inconvenient using only touchscreen. I was wrong. Half wrong.

Though I haven't purchased many games on the iPhone, some games are better than others using the small screen with touch. Other games shine better than a desktop version. Shooters are examples of me having a somewhat uneasy clunky fat finger effect while puzzle games are so far for me great.

Now, I don't usually like puzzle games, but Bejeweled 2 was a favorite of mine on the desktop. After playing it on the iPhone, in my opinion, it is one of the best types of games you can ever play using touch! You are restricted only by how quickly you can swipe or tap if you are on the timed mode, which is much faster using your finger than using a mouse. Near perfection for me on the iPhone.

A clunky shooter has been the original desktop game, Wolfenstein 3D. I found the screen kind of small but watchable, but more to the point, getting used to controlling the movement for some reason seemed awkward. Still, it was nice to see a classic with it's then state of the art graphics, which are pretty much the same.

I find it incredible that this device is more powerful than the pc's of yesteryear, something from the late '80s early '90s.
